The Ballad of Ruby C.
Ruby was a dancer at a bar they called The Turks
For high school kids with fake IDs, cowboys, drunks and jerks
She would shake and slither like a rattlesnake with hips
She was the meanest woman to ever paint her lips
She took up with a drifter by the name of Billy Con
Ruby took his last name but Billy did her wrong
She shot him in a motel the scene of the crime
Pulling on his blue jeans one leg at a time
Billy begged for one more chance but now old Billys gone
The moral is you cant go back when you cross Ruby Con
Ruby was a dancer at a bar they called the Turks
For high school kids with fake IDs, cowboys, drunks and
jerks
She would shake and slither like a rattlesnake with knees
Now the bars she works are the penitentiaries
