8:30 a.m. -What would Christmas morning feel like on more than four hours sleep? It's been too long for me to remember...

I got to sing my song "The Jesse Tree" with the gospel choir last night at midnight mass! Then after the kids went to bed, I stayed up real late waiting to help Santa unload a few things from his big red sack... The coffee in my cup tastes especially good right now... While the presents are being opened and Kathy Mattea is singing "Mary Did You Know" on the stereo, I'd like to take a moment to wish you and yours the best of the season. 

Some say "peace on earth" is an impossibility...  only a pretty phrase found in the songs you hear this time of year.  They might be right of course... but that could change... I mean, who knows what might happen if we all sing those words  together today? Really really loud!  Love, John
