Thanks to my friend Andrew Kelsay for fitting me in at Charles and Myrtles Coffeehouse in Chattanooga last weekend where I was honored to be invited to speak at Christ Unity Church’s Sunday morning service. I opened my talk with a wonderful prayer I just learned. It was written by Fr. Mychal Judge, the Franciscan friar and FDNY Chaplain who journeyed from the World Trade Center to Heaven on September 11, 2001. The prayer goes: Lord, take me where you want me to go. Let me meet who you want me to meet. Tell me what you want me to say and keep me out of your way. Can I have an Amen? I just got an email from a friend alerting me to a very cool clip on libertynewstv.com. Apparently something called the “Backbone Campaign” has been issuing well deserved citations for spinelessness to Congessional Democrats who, for calculated political reasons, are failing to withhold the means by which this illegal and terribly ill conceived war in Iraq is being prosecuted. I must admit haven't yet watched the whole thing but was proud to find them using one of my songs in a segment around 17 minutes into the video. Links:
