So don’t tell me that God doesn’t have a sense of humor! I was talking to my mom from the road Saturday and she asked, ”What happened? Your father and I watched Joan of Arcadia last night but your song wasn’t in the show!” Then I called home and found that my daughter had watched the program as well and she had the same question. Finally a friend of mine with better active listening skills than any of my blood relatives called to congratulate me as HE had heard over a minute and half of my song in the show. Bewildered I required an explanation and he informed me that my song had been used as background music in a bar scene while the central characters were talking. I mean seriously! After all those years playing background music in bars while people were talking, I finally get to a point in my career where my songs are getting used on network television shows and they use them as background music in a bar while people are talking??!!! Now I can take a joke as well as the next guy, but nobody better talk during my next gig!
