Basic Requirements
John's needs are flexible, depending on the type of
gig, but the following is basic sound/light requirements for a gig with full
production.
SOUND
Purchase agrees to provide a professional quality PA
sound system with a professional sound technician. System will be set up and
ready for sound check no later than 90 minutes prior to showtime.
Purchaser agrees to furnish artist or artist's
representative with the name and phone number of the sound technician at
least two weeks prior to the show and that said technician will be available
to speak to artist by telephone regarding sound requirements.
Sound system will minimally include:
A. Six (6) channel mixing board with separate house and
monitor gains and separate house and monitor equalization.
B. Minimum 3 band equalization on each channel with a
separate graphic equalizer and adequate amplifier.
C. Two stand or wall mounted PA speakers or two speaker
stacks adequate for size of the hall and one (1) high quality monitor.
D. One (1) vocal microphone : Shure SM58 or better.
E. Two (2) mic cables (one for vocal mic, one for
acoustic guitar DI)
F. One boom mic stand
G. All necessary cables and chords for system
operation.
H. One stool for artist use
LIGHTING
Purchaser agrees to provide adequate stage lighting for
the event.
PLEASE NOTE: John has a Bose Sound System that is
suitable for many situations. It is available at an extra charge for gigs he
will be driving to. Please contact us for details.
HOSPITALITY
A private area to tune up and get ready for show.
Access to a bathroom, preferably private.
Water, coffee, soft drinks and snacks should be
available at load-in and throughout the show.

the booking process.
